Dr. AJ Small PT, DPT, TPI Cert.

Co-Owner of Drive Physical Therapy

Dr. AJ received his doctorate of physical therapy from Nazareth University in Rochester, NY. Since graduating in 2017, AJ has gained experience treating a wide variety of patient populations. Along with an extensive sports training background as a high school athlete and collegiate lacrosse player, AJ has expertise in treatment of orthopedic and sports conditions.

With limited treatment time and resources to treat active adults and athletes in typical physical therapy, AJ and Nick had the desire to start Drive Physical Therapy and use their experience to help people improve and reach their potential.

Dr. AJ is also has continued his education gaining Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) level 1, medical level 2 and Select Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) certifications. This has given him more knowledge on treatment of golfers and proper evaluation of active adults.

AJ is a native of Buchanan, NY in Westchester County, while living in the Saratoga Springs area for the last 7 years. He enjoys spending time with his wife Kate, daughter Kenna, and dog Cain. AJ is an active golfer and downhill skier. When training himself, he focuses on olympic style weightlifting and running.

Dr. Nick Lasarso PT, DPT, ATC, TPI cert.

Co-Owner of Drive Physical Therapy

Dr. Nick is originally from Queensbury, NY. He received his bachelors of science in athletic training from the University of New Hampshire in 2013. He then went on to receive his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of New England in 2016. Nick has spent most of his career in orthopedics and sports medicine, working with numerous patient populations and treating a variety of post-operative, orthopedic and sports injuries.

Nick has the desire to not only provide the highest level of quality care, but to also help patients proactively improve their health, wellness and overall performance. Whether, your an active grandparent or a professional athlete, Nick understands the importance of providing innovative and individualized care to help you reach your goals.

Dr. Nick has continued his education by also becoming level 1 and medical level 2 certified through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). He also has certifications through the Select Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and is a Champion Performance Specialist (C-PS).

Nick currently lives in Saratoga Springs. He spends his free time with his wife Julie, son Crew, daughter Ellie and two dogs. He is an avid golfer and enjoys his time in the gym working various forms of functional fitness.
