Ankle Pain Shouldn't Keep You From What You Love

You've tried rest, ice, and stretching—but the pain keeps coming back every time you get active.

Your injury keeps coming back

You rest and recover, but the ankle pain returns the moment you lace up your running shoes or get back to your sport.

You're stuck on the sidelines

Missing training runs, canceled hikes, and watching others stay active while you're benched with chronic ankle discomfort.

No one's looking at the big picture

Quick appointments and cookie-cutter exercises don't address why your ankle keeps hurting—you need someone who treats the root cause.

We don't just treat your ankle pain—we identify what's driving it. Whether it's biomechanics, training errors, or movement patterns that need adjusting, our physical therapists dig deep to find the root cause and build a personalized plan to keep you moving for life.

  • • One-on-one care with Doctors of Physical Therapy—no assistants or aides • 60-75 minute sessions focused on your specific goals and active lifestyle • Movement-focused, holistic approach that addresses root causes, not just symptoms

Why Austin Residents Choose Eastside Movement

  • "Could not recommend Drive PT enough! I decided to come to Drive when knee pain returned after starting a new workout program. I was looking for PT that could help with my pain and support my goals of continuing my workouts. The program is individualized with 1 on 1 attention unlike previous experiences with other practices. I have a better understanding of the pain I had and feel confident moving forward in my workouts!"

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ankle pain physical therapy

  • We offer one-on-one care with Doctors of Physical Therapy for the full 60-75 minute session—no assistants or aides. Our cash-based model allows us to spend more time with you, dig deeper into root causes, and create truly personalized treatment plans that address your whole body, not just your symptoms.

  •  We're a cash-based practice, which means we don't bill insurance directly. This allows us to provide athlete-style care without insurance restrictions on session length or treatment frequency. We can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We also offer 50% off your initial evaluation.

  • Our sessions are 60-75 minutes of focused, one-on-one time with your Doctor of Physical Therapy. This extended time allows us to perform hands-on manual therapy, guide you through exercises, and ensure you understand your treatment plan.

  • Your first visit includes a comprehensive evaluation where we assess your ankle, review your injury history, analyze your movement patterns and gait, and identify the root cause of your pain. We'll create a personalized treatment plan and often begin hands-on treatment in that same session.
